This year's Legislative Event will take place in two parts.
Legislative Day at the Capitol on February 12
Date: Tuesday, February 12, 2019
10:30 am – 1:30 pm CST
Participants will learn about current legislative issues impacting the field of speech pathology and audiology and receive updates on legislative topics within our state, connect with policy makers, and learn techniques to effectively communicate with legislators about issues impacting our professions.
At the completion of this event, participants will be able to:
- Name two elected officials who may support our organizational causes
- Identify one legislative issue impacting our state
- Provide two strategies for communicating with legislators
