MSHA will individually consider co-sponsorship of continuing education activities that meet required guidelines.

Guidelines for ASHA Co-Sponsorship of Continuing Education Activities

Time Frame For Submitting ASHA CE Events. Activities must be received from a facility or an organization (not an individual) a minimum of 60 days prior to the event for adequate time to process. This change in the deadline submission date only applies to ASHA co-sponsored events. MSHA will still accept submissions for Missouri clock hours (only) within a minimum of 30 days notice of the event.

The Missouri Speech-Language-Hearing Association (MSHA) will individually administer co-sponsorship of CEU activities that meet ASHA required guidelines. All events and topics must conform to ASHA guidelines for professional or related content. Speaker must possess professional qualifications. The focus of the activity must not be for the sale of a specific product.

Guidelines for MSHA Clock Hours Co-Sponsorship of Continuing Education Activities

The Missouri Speech-Language-Hearing Association (MSHA) will individually consider co-sponsorship of CEU activities that meet our required guidelines in order to increase the number of sponsored contact hours to Missouri licensees.

All events and topics must conform to ASHA Guidelines for professional and related content. Speaker must possess professional qualifications. The focus of the activity must not be for the sale of a specific product.

Applicants for licensure renewal must complete 30 hours of continuing education credit every three years. A minimum of 20 of the 30 hours must be continuing education activities that have approval and/or sponsorship by ASHA, AAA, AMA, MAA, MSHA, DESE or CEC.
